A new home

This spring we undertook the monumental task of selling our condo and purchasing a house in a neighboring town. As a result, I gave up our community garden plot in anticipation of a much more convenient backyard garden.

With all the work involved in settling a new house, there has been precious little time for gardening. However, I did manage to find enough time to supplant an existing flower bed with a small vegetable garden. The plantings are as follows:

1 Bloody Butcher Tomato
1 Brandywine Tomato
6 Roma Tomatoes
6 Bell Peppers
6 Jalapeno Peppers
100 White Onion Sets
100 Red Onion Sets
10# Red Seed Potatoes
2 Hills of Summer Squash
~10' of Green Beans
~20' of Wax Beans

With the exception of the potatoes (local sources of seed potatoes only came in 10# bags), the garden is quite a bit smaller than in years past. Given the length of my to do list, however, this is all I can handle for this year.
